Technical Data
Color: Metal gray. Adhesion: Excellent adhesion to clean, dry surfaces of most metals. Hardens upon exposure to air. Hi-Temp Lab-metal will not bond two parts together; requires air to dry. Heat cure according to the directions on the can (download product label below).
Weight: One cubic inch: 28.9 grams or 1.02 oz.
Heat resistance: When heat cured as directed, withstands temperatures as high as 1000ºF.
Chemical resistance: Not affected by mild acids, gasoline, petroleum, petroleum solvents, oil or L.P. gas.
Combustibility: Dry and hard material will not support combustion.
Conductivity: A non-conductor. (Accepts ground for powder coating - see FAQ page).
Thermal conductivity: Est. 1-2 BTU / sq. ft. / hour / ºF
Drying time: Dependent upon thickness of application. Allow to harden for at least 24 hrs., then heat harden at 425ºF for 1 hr.
Shelf life: One year in factory-sealed can. (Add Lab-solvent to extend storage-time). Store in cool place.
